Support the Texas Barnstorming Museum

Fundraising is our least favorite part of what we do…but the truth is, these things just don’t fix and fly themselves.

Cash donations are great, but we can use just about anything that has value to further our cause to restore and keep these old airplanes in the air. Of course, we prefer pre-1950ish aircraft like Cubs, Taylorcrafts or Aeroncas, but we also love tools, and pieces and parts from old aircraft.

We know most people don’t have airplane stuff laying around, so we will take just about anything we can sell—cars, real estate, whatever. To make a donation, please get in touch.

Volunteer

IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT MONEY! If you can sweep, mow, polish, fly, teach, or anything else to lend a hand, we’d love to hear from you.

The Texas Barnstorming Museum is a Registered 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization. For tax purposes, donors will get a receipt for the full value of the donation.

Win this Beautiful 1941 Piper J-3

Well, giving away an RV-12 in 2021, and a classic 1965 Convertible Mustang in 2022 is going to be hard to beat, but I think this beautifully restored 1941 Piper J-3 is going to make someone very, very happy. It was fully restored and the engine upgraded to a C-85 (85 HP) and a new McCauley propeller. To make things even easier, we are going to add an electric starter and rechargable battery, which will eliminate the need to hand-prop to start.  The fabric is Ceconite, a lifetime synthetic, painted with butyrate in the timeless factory scheme. The Cub also qualifies as a Light Sport Aircraft

There are less than 300 hours on the restoration, we might add a few flying the airplane here and there  to promotional events, but not much. It’ll be awarded with a fresh annual inspection, new bungees and will be ready to fly anywhere. The logbooks begin in 1947. The airplane was a genuine WWII CPT training aircraft, and has been lovingly cared for its entire life.

There is more information on the raffle entry site. Please feel free to contact us with any other questions.
